I thought maya and chioma would’ve been the a plot for the whole season, but tbf they’re the b plot until act 3. Acts 1 and 2 consist of saint having a crisis of faith (for the second time except much worse than how it was done in splicer) and is screwing around in the battlegrounds which btw don’t actually get us closer to the goal since maya had planned on revealing herself anyway. Act 3 was alright but it could’ve been amazing if we had less filler

I did, watching Maya's descent into madness was interesting and tragic, seeing how both Osiris and Saint have changed since we first met them way back in CoO, all of that was great. And I think it's setting up a base for future Vex stuff that could be interesting. I'm not as much of an avid player as I used to be, but I did find the storyline interesting.

Everything just goes back to square one at the end of the story. Saint and Osiris are back to how they were, Nessus is back to how it was, Maya is still alive and still has the echo, Failsafe goes back to being alone on Nessus. You can skip every event that happened during the story and nothing would change. Also why'd they water until the very end of act 2 to introduce the main villain, and then we never end up actually fighting her?

Honestly that season was a massive red flag that made me leave the game, I've looked into the revenant stuff it seems cool on the surface but there are some red flags popping up story wise as well. Like it's quite clear they are going to try to redeem erimas way to fast by having her lock in a cell and then pretend she did nothing wrong. If they wanted her to play the role as ally to defeat Fikeral, they could have had her aiding us from affair.

I think the story just fell flat because of delivery. I understand the connections between Saint and Osiris overcoming juge obstacles in their relationship VS Maya and Chioma and how Maya handled things vs Osiris etc but it just idk, the length between acts, plus the repeat encore a bajillion times just killed any momentum or care I had for the story. And again, the Vex are used just as set dressing. It wasn't about them they just were kind of there again to fuel another characters story.
