Yorkshire Puddings on your Christmas Dinner?

Absolutely. It’s the star of the meal and I get so many praises and the anticipation for making them fresh and the last item to come out of the oven is such a delight to see. I’m in Canada no one makes them here. I was born in England but never made them there!

I am from Yorkshire and we had Yorkshire pudding every Sunday with a roast. We would definitely not have it for any meal over the Christmas holiday.

It’s a roast dinner - you’d better believe the Yorkshires belong!

The only essentials on a Christmas Dinner are stuffing and pigs in blankets.

Your recipe filled with smoked trout as a canape. I also want to try the giant one for New Year's nibbles.

Grew up with them and miss them so much! I have been looking forward to Yorkies the most in the coming Holiday meals and was so excited to see your adaptations for them on TV! I have been reading your books and enjoying the You Tube vids for a long time now! We love to see Jamie getting more airtime/coverage over here in the states, so exciting! Also love the casual family & friends time vibe in the Shows! Sometimes other cooking shows can bring a bit stiff/facade or "Hollywood approach" over here in the USA. We're doing our best over here on the West Coast to support our local ag & garden-to-table over here! Wishing great holiday cheer to the Oliver Clan and J.O. production Crews! Take care all, and have a great new year!

Newfoundlander here. I've had it before during a work Christmas meal. Never saw anyone at home make it though, nor do I make it myself, so I guess it's not our family tradition.

No. My traditional Christmas dinner is always a Polish feast. I'm making three kinds of pierogi, some golupki, a side of kapusta for the main course. Starting with barscz and mizeria. Usually finish with kruszciki or kolazcki. This year though I made a cheesecake and froze it. Everything I make or eat is vegan and gluten free.

I have an autoimmune disorder and do not eat gluten. Love your veg recipes.

In Denmark most of us have “Ris á la mande”, which is a rice porridge made with whole milk, and then mixed with sweetened whipped cream with plenty of vanilla and chopped skinned almonds. It is served with warm cherry sauce. One whole almond is put in the dessert, and then the one who finds is wins a “Mandelgave” - an almond gift - originally a marzipan pig, now a days it can be all kinds of different things.

Going to make and pre bake them this year and then freeze them for the day. I normally buy in. I did make then once on Christmas day but was such a faff in those big holders. Cupcake trays this year and freeze them. If they do well and not go wild again in smaller portions, i would like to continue this.
