The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints

Today we honor the women who nurture with faith, love, and strength. Whether you’re a mother, a grandmother, an aunt, a neighbor, a friend, or just someone who lifts and loves others—thank you for the Christlike influence you have in the world.

"No one can do what a righteous woman can do. No one can duplicate the influence of a mother." —President Russell M. Nelson (General Conference, October 2018)

My "mother" was hardly what we talk about on Mother's Day . . . thank you, Heavenly Parents and Jesus Christ and the Holy Ghost and angels, for raising me well. I couldn't have raised myself as well as I have without You. It's not ideal, but it's how things worked out. And I'm pleased with the results. I'm proud of who I am and what I've achieved, entirely because of You. God bless Heaven's true mothers on this earth.

My Mother is in Paradise now , this is her second Mother's Day she has been gone. She showed all of her eight children by her Love and teachings how important our family is and how important the gospel is in all of our lives. She is a humble soul never calling attention to herself and gave so much through her service and Love. I'm so glad she is my Mother and I Love this message President Nelson.

My mother is one of the only reasons I'm still here. She gives me hope and helps me to enjoy life! I would be lost without her guidance and parenting. Love you Mommy ❤️

My mother & my maternal grandmother. Both taught me to have faith in the Lord and to respect women in general. I was taught and behave as a gentleman for nigh on my 66 yrs. Mother’s never leave us, they live on in our daily lives every time we honor their memory by doing what she would have done.

Lynn Butler of Alpine, Utah is my “mother/mentor”. She has taught me more about Jesus Christ, His doctrine/principles/practices, & what His love looks & sounds like - up close & personal - than anyone else in all of my life. I’m eternally grateful for her profound influence on me! She has blessed me to feel loved, seen, & understood while facing my most difficult heartaches & challenges 😇💞🥰💝‼️ Sheri Dew’s books, talks, & media have had the best “mothering” influence on me of anyone whom I have never met in person. I’m eternally grateful for her energetic willingness to share Jesus Christ & real life advice/challenges with me (& any/all of God’s children)!

My primary teachers, my mom, taught us in Top Pilots. That was the year we studied about Christ's life. That's where my testimony was first nurtured. I'm forever grateful for the lesson of our loving Savior especially my dear mother.

My mother, as imperfect as she was, is still the image that comes to mind when I hear the word "Christlike". She gave everything of herself while on this earth, and she will always be my hero!

Karlene Bailey was my amazing faithful Visiting Teacher for several years. Karlene was like a mother to me very wise and caring! She taught me so many wonderful things! Especially how to Love Jesus and be one of his courageous disciples! I'm eternally grateful for my dear Karlene!

My mother adopted me. My birth mother, who I got to know much later in life, gave me up when she was a teen (special thanks to LDS services). Both are wonderful to me and my family, but the one who raised me gets the honor and title of Mom.
