Kris Kristofferson epitomized strength and integrity. He was a man of powerful political conviction who never put politics over people or ideals. As he once wrote, “When they burn your brother down In the name of Freedom / I don't care if that's left or right It's wrong.” Kristofferson was never afraid to stand up for the marginalized, downtrodden, or desperate. He fought for his country and never hesitated to criticize the government. He was, in many ways, the quintessential American.

Great musician andecency human being. I still listen to lots of Merle Haggard. Merle's America First, which he wrote around 05, which Vance plays frequently after his rallies, Merle sang "Let's Get Out of Iraq, and Get Back on Track" RIP Merle, Kris, Johnny, Waylon, miss all of these good Ole boys!!
