I can just about recall when the trade unions opposed immigration because it was a bourgeois strategy for wage suppression. I think we got infiltrated by some of those bourgeois interests. The anti racism stuff was good but it shouldn’t have lead to a complete abandonment of the long held immigration concern. It’s not a socialist or an internationalist aspiration to drain the brains of African, Asian and Caribbean nations or to flood the domestic labour market with workers used to lower pay and workplace conditions.

I don't know, aaron has always come across as a liberal or even just right wing, and some of these takes, especially the ECHR stuff is super suspect... I would recommended everyone takes this with a pinch of salt.

Turn Left
This was a really interesting and thought provoking conversation, and much needed introspection on the left. Highly recommend!
