I just want to take a moment to apologise to the friends, brands and associates that work with myself and the Mr Matt Lee channel. This year has been a rollercoaster both physically and mentally.
Alongside filming at the studio each week to ensure we have a new video every Monday, I’ve been dealing with my own demons whilst putting on a brave face and I want to be transparent.
Between April and November I helped my father through major brain surgery which came with heaps of uncertainty and unimaginable amounts of stress / emotion. Fortunately, he kicked its ass (and continues to do so).
Following the positivity with my father, we entered this December and a whole new, unexpected darkness hit our family. My stepfather then took on a severe heart attack and after a short battle he was taken from us yesterday following complications, and later a stroke.
He supported the Mr Matt Lee channel from day one and gave us the strength, motivation and energy to push forward, even a couple of days ago whilst working on the latest video edit, by his side in hospital.
To say it’s been a rough year off camera would be an understatement.
If I’ve been silent via email communications, less frequently in community comments, or generally distant… please accept that I have recognised you and will follow up in due course.
As myself and Sam work towards the final content this year, please know I love you all (except the RAM cartel) and always carry the best intentions.
