I don't think you should do beginner versions, but beginner songs in general is not a bad idea. Or even slow mo versions of certain riffs that people want to play. So like for example a slow motion (no talking) version of the take the power back slap riff for the muted parts. You can make shorts out of things like that

you should continue the riff exercise series, i think its great for people starting out who wanna work on parts in isolation, also i second the guy that said beginner songs in general, either way keep up the good work!

Honestly, instead of true beginner songs, like "Another One Bites the Dust" or "Feel Good Inc." I think a step up from there would be really cool to see. Kind of giving beginners something to challenge them.

Part of the fun of being a guitarist is becoming good enough over time to start playing things that were out of your range before. It’s called progression.

I´m a ´fan´ of rooting down covers or more like simplefying them. With tab and note notation. With on this the root notes and essential ´licks´ to make this song work.. fun way of learning from beginner, en when more advanced the whole song with everything on it. Helped me a lot past years. Anyhows, enjoy the music man 🤘

When I was a beginner watching your channel, I would just play an easier version of the hard parts myself. Like playing eighth notes instead of sixteenth. Fairly straight forward to make it easier by myself and work up to playing the real deal.

Beginners should pick and choose what parts they want to work on. You can get through any song playing roots only. Maybe a beginner guide explaining that?

Unrelated, but can you do a video on Moth by Audioslave? Thank you.

Imo that would be a great idea Leo! Not many people doing this as far as I’m aware of and it would have helped me tons when I was starting out and wanted to play along to my favourite songs.

No brainer in my opinion. Slow it down, learn it. Learned that? Speed it up. Slow n steady, you'll learn anything. Except Primus.

i consider myself a beginner at bass and honestly i would rather spend more time learning the song accurately than learning an easier version knowing that its not the real part

I would love to see what you’d come up with -as in, how you would simplify each song why keeping the theme

I think it’s a great idea. Provides a resource for beginning players (and kids). More accessible resources to meet new players where they are at and help them get better is always a good thing.

Maybe at the end of the video of a more difficult song you could go over some of the harder parts idk. People have the ability to playback slower or pause the video on a certain tab on their own so I wouldnt worry about it too much. Many many other sources if someone wants to learn, I personally watch you to learn from your technique and enjoy the music

while its a good idea in concept i think most of the time you can just simplify songs yourself using whats already there. its what i have done for a while (especially with tool songs because they often have one super difficult part in an otherwise not too difficult song)

My channel lacks beginner songs so I ask you: should I do beginner versions of songs I've already covered? For example, an easier version of Schism without the brutal outro and some of the overwhelming ghost notes so that beginners can work their way up to the full version. Should I do this or not?
