It starts with a courageous queen (Vashti) who stood up to her husband the king, after he made an immodest request of her. Later, the Jewish population of Persia was saved by another courageous queen (Esther) when she told her husband the king that she was Jewish, and his advisor (Haman) had planned to k*ll all of her people. My favorite abbreviated version of the story, is: They tried to k*ll us all. We won. Let's eat. There are still people now, who would get rid of us all, if they could. We. Will. Always. Win.
