Sleep Deeper: Live Better by Mark Bowden

People often ask me how I write my hypnosis scripts.

Here’s something most don’t know: I never write them in the morning or afternoon. Ever.

Why? Because the state I’m in when I write directly shapes the state you’ll enter when you listen.

In the morning, I'm usually sharp and alert. In the afternoon, my mind is busier, but still alert. But in the morning or late at night, my thoughts slow, my breathing deepens, and I can slip into the same calm, present focus I want you to feel.

When I write in that state, I’m not forcing the words — they arrive the way a lullaby arrives to a parent holding a sleeping child: naturally, gently, without rush.

You can hear that difference in the final recording.

Tonight, when you press play, know that I wrote it while I was already halfway to sleep myself.

Sleep well,

Mark
