I think the simplest format of you reading chapter by chapter without editing is a good idea. i would def watch/listen

Could you do a bit of both? Maybe you can have a soundtrack for the novel playing at a very quiet level throughout your reading or at certain parts, and add in a few images at key points?

You could make one video rather than separating it by parts. It will probably suck for the video would probably been hours long, however YouTube algorithm does have a preference for long videos.

I was thinking about doing a series where I read through every chapter of my book, “The Ecstasy and the Ignominy.” There are two ways I could it: I could just read on camera without edits. That would be the easiest way, but I could also do voiceover with the cover image and background sounds. That would be much more difficult and I’m not sure I would have the time for it. The return might not be worth the investment. I’m not the best at editing and it would take me forever. Either way, I’m not sure anyone would even be interested. People might tune in for chapter one, but chapter twenty? I don’t know. Let me know if you’re interested.
