Amazon should invest in education in the humanitarian arts for their CEOs and owners

I used to work at an amazon warehouse and if you guys knew how much good stuff they throw away you would be shocked, if they resold that merchandise at discount prices they would be helping the environment and making a profit. Its disgusting how much gets thrown out and they do not allow employees to take anything home we go through metal detectors and our bags were searched at the end of each shift

Brick and mortar stores have a high overhead. Instead, they start a pick up service at their distribution centers like Kroger and other stores started doing after Covid. It would save money on shipping and excess packaging and boxes.

As a long time frugal and mindful prepper, I shop little, even less now that inflation is so high. What I do buy is where possible, used and in great condition. Amazon has a real problem with its returns. We all need to shop less and use up what we have instead of constantly wanting more and more of everything under the sun. Time to repair and maintain what we have instead of constantly up grading and shamelessly wasting resources. With the world situation as it is, war may change the way people live in unexpected ways.

I think Amazon needs to be stopped before they put every business out of business.

Companies buy the stuff and sell it. We got a big store that everyone calls "the bin store". It's just Amazon returns. You walk around and dig through bins and the prices change. Delivery day everything is $15 and it drops to 50 cent day to help them clear out.

Well in Michigan Amazon has a Warehouse of things people order and didn't want so you can go to the warehouse and purchase items and they have 5, 10 dollars Days it's like a garage sale but the items are new

Amazon already tried with Amazon Books and Amazon 4-star stores, with merchandise handpicked based on sales data. The stores didn't do very well and the company closed all of its Amazon Books and 4-star stores after only 3 years or so.

The lack of stores is what allows the reasonable prices, large selection of items and what is more convenient than driving to a store?...oh, yeah...being delivered to your house.

Sick of them. They are ruining shopping and making everyone a frickin hermit. They are killing our shopping experience. I have never bought on Amazon.

If Amazon did this it would destroy their whole business model. Plus they would have to raise their prices to cover the overhead.

The point is to not have any brick and mortar stores of any kind anymore. Target, Wal-Mart, hardware stores, grocery stores… close em’ all. All of that merchandise can be ordered by consumers and delivered by drones.

That’s literally a Sears department store. It’s exactly how Sears started, like Amazon, as a mail order business.

Why? So they can end up getting robbed out of business like Walmart, Target, Rite-Aide and CVS?!? Uh no thanks…
