As I stand on the bridge of my ship, looking out at the vast expanse of space before me, I can't help but feel a sense of awe and wonder. The universe is a beautiful and mysterious place, full of wonders and horrors beyond imagining. But amidst all this beauty and chaos, there is one thing that I know for certain: The ongoing Second Thargoid War has forced us all to confront the harsh realities of inter-species conflict. The Thargoids are a powerful and enigmatic race, and their motives are unclear. Some say they are seeking to conquer us, while others believe they are simply defending themselves against our aggression. But regardless of their intentions, one thing is clear: we must find a way to negotiate with them if we are to have any hope of ending this war. And that's why I believe that the Blizzard Star Ship skins are so important. As I gaze upon the sleek and beautiful design of the Blizzard skins, I can't help but feel a sense of pride and accomplishment. These skins are a symbol of my dedication to promoting inter-species diplomacy, and they serve as a powerful reminder of the importance of this mission. But the Blizzard skins are more than just a symbol. They are a tool that I can use to further my mission. With their sleek and beautiful design, they can serve as a beacon of hope to the Thargoids, reminding them that we too appreciate beauty and design. And with their prestige and rarity, they can demonstrate my dedication to this cause, earning me respect and influence among both human and Thargoid leaders alike. But perhaps most importantly, the Blizzard skins can serve as a rallying cry for humanity. As the war rages on, our people are losing hope. But by displaying these skins on my ship, I can remind them that there is still beauty and wonder in the universe, and that we must never give up in our quest for peace. So as I prepare to embark on my next mission, I do so with a renewed sense of purpose and determination. The Blizzard Star Ship skins are more than just a cosmetic item; they are a symbol of hope, courage, and the power of diplomacy. And with them by my side, I know that I can make a difference in the ongoing conflict between humanity and the Thargoids. The Thargoids will not be able to resist such a beautiful ship skin.

Hawkes I spent weeks struggling through the start of Elite. In the last three days I went from the sidewinder to an A grade Anaconda. You are by far the most helpful, easy to understand, and high quality Elite YouTuber I have seen. I really can't thank you enough

I've brought quite a few friends to the world of Elite Dangerous over the years. With the steep learning curve, I ended up making a discord server for my mates where I linked a lot of videos as guides to certain activities within the game. The majority of the most helpful videos ended up being from you. Havent got a reason to deserve one of these, but just wanted to say that your videos are always informative, to the point, and well put together. Glad to have you in the community mate. ~ fan from Australia

As a seasoned commander in Elite Dangerous, you've seen and done it all – from exploring the darkest corners of space to mining asteroids for rare resources. But there's one thing that's been gnawing at you for a while now – the silver and gold Blizzard Star skins for your ships. You've scoured the galaxy for these coveted skins, but they remain as elusive as a sober pirate. You've tried everything, from negotiating with other commanders to stealing from them. But no matter what you do, those skins seem to be just out of reach, like that annoying itch you can't quite scratch. It's gotten so bad that you've even started dreaming about them. You see them shimmering in the darkness of space, taunting you with their beauty. You wake up in a cold sweat, your hands clutching at the sheets, desperate for that feeling of victory. You've even started making bad jokes about the Blizzard Star skins. "Why did the commander cross the galaxy? To get to the other side – where the Blizzard Star skins are!" You know it's a terrible joke, but you can't help yourself. You're like a comedian with a bad case of space madness. But you won't give up. You're determined to find those skins, even if it means selling your soul to the space devil. You'll explore every inch of the galaxy, mine every last asteroid, and rescue every stranded ship in sight. You'll become the ultimate commander, feared and respected by all. And when you finally get those Blizzard Star skins, you'll celebrate like it's New Year's Eve. You'll pop open a bottle of space champagne, dance around your cockpit like a maniac, and shout at the top of your lungs, "I got the skins, baby!" It'll be the sweetest victory you've ever tasted, like a shot of space tequila on a hot summer day. So keep searching, commander. Keep mining, keep exploring, keep rescuing. And someday, somehow, those Blizzard Star skins will be yours. And the galaxy will tremble in awe of your greatness.

Hm...just trying to figure out how Frontier will nerf it. Ok, I just noticed you said add a story, so here's my reason why I think I deserve one. It starts 6 years ago. I was new to space games, I found Elite dangerous and loved it instantly. Flying around in my little sidewinder doing trade missions. It was a blast, not a care in the world. Edit:I forgot to add the part where I bought an Eagle first before the Cobra. And went out not realizing I needed a fuel scoop for a certain jump, got scared, didn't want to lose my ship, asked everyone I could find and finally got pointed to the Fuel Rats IRC channel lol (IRC lol.. man the mIRC days were golden) They finally found me when I had 0.22 seconds left lol. And they kindly informed me that there was a station 11ls away from me XD I made enough money to buy a Cobra and the Canadian flag skin. Tried my hand in combat, was pretty decent, against npcs anyway. Worked my way to an AspX, my favourite ship. Spent every last credit I had to get it. Man I loved that ship. I literally would just fly around aimlessly in 3rd person just to watch it. Pretty sure I did it for about 120 full hours. And then..frontier took that ship from me. I got kicked from the game due to some error I forget the name of now. I tried logging in and it kept saying servers were down. I got in 7 minutes later..and my ship was destroyed..There was no buyback option even though I had insurance. I contacted Frontier FIVE times..and they never responded to me. Not once. No explanations. I had no money left to buy another. I quit for a year or more after that. Came back, got into mining. Loved mining..still do. Then they nerfed mining..but I mined someth....nvm they nerfed it. But hey, I found another thing t....nope they nerfed it. I just want a good space game..a mix of star citizen and elite..please..why don't we have something..over half a billion dollars and 13 years and star citizen is still 18 years away from release..and elite is killing itself. Sigh..my rant is over.

Yooo, way to go Hawkes! Honestly with the amount of work you've put in over the years helping out the ED community with your content they could've come up with something even better but still, really glad they chose you to give something out to people you brought in!

I’ll never forget starting the game and learning about the Fuel Rats and saying “PFFF, I’ll never be stupid enough to need their help!” Fast forward a few years and I find myself in the middle of the “Laser mining gold rush” thanks to CMDR Hawkes’ videos with about $300 mill of cargo to sell, stranded without a fuel scoop because my greedy-ass needed cargo racks for an extra $20 mill of space rocks. I was rescued by CMDR ElysiumsFolly and I have never forgotten their kindness and patience through the whole thing, even when I was SURE I was dead (ship totally out of power, on emergency support). They added me to their elite friendslist and I still check everytime I log in to see if they are online and saving others! Long live the Fuel Rats

It was supposed to be a routine cargo run for Commander Sarah. She had loaded up her trusty Type-9 Heavy with a shipment of rare minerals, and set course for the nearest station. But as she exited hyperspace, she realized something was wrong. The local system was in the grip of a massive blizzard, with snow and ice swirling in every direction. Sarah tried to power through the storm, but her ship was quickly coated in thick layers of ice. The hull groaned and creaked under the strain, and Sarah feared she wouldn't make it to the station alive. That's when she remembered the blizzard skin paintjob she had installed on her ship. The paintjob had been specifically designed to blend in with snowy environments, and Sarah had originally bought it as a novelty item. But now it might just save her life. She activated the paintjob, and the ship's appearance shifted to a mottled white and grey pattern. The effect was so convincing that when she passed by a group of pirates lurking in the storm, they didn't even spot her. Thanks to the blizzard skin paintjob, Sarah was able to slip past the pirates and make it safely to the station. She later discovered that the blizzard had been caused by a rare planetary alignment, and that the system was now a popular destination for extreme weather enthusiasts. With her newly acquired knowledge and experience, Sarah set out to become the premier cargo hauler for blizzard-chasers in the galaxy, outfitting all her ships with the same paintjob that had saved her life.
