Just got back from seeing the Homestuck pilot, and boy, was it a blast!
Really loved the animation that was shown and how accurate it looked to its source material while still looking unique, the voice acting was awesome (who would have thought that Toby Fox would make an amazing John Egbert) and they deliver such lines perfectly. It had plenty of fun moments and dialogue, and it felt sweet to see all the other characters and events teased at the end.
I will say that the pacing felt kinda fast, and I have seen some people say that criticism, and it's a fair one. Though I will say, considering that the original webcomic is 8000+ pages long, I don't mind seeing it condensed to make it easier to watch. That was a reason why I never really got into the webcomic aside from the characters and the game Hiveswap on PC (which is really good). But at least with this, I'll be able to get into the Homestuck series easier.
I do hope that this becomes a full series since I'd be down to seeing this become a full thing!
