Mike Flanagan is a GENIUS. I absolutely LOVE everything he makes. Just finished Fall of the House of Usher and it was amazing! But my favorite will always be Midnight Mass.

This shows how people don't even know the modern king of horror, Mike Flanagan.

Mike Flanagan has been the most consistent. But Hereditary is my favourite horror film and Eggers is the best director of these. How Peele is winning this I have no clue.

My vote goes to Robert Eggers for his valiant and unique efforts in going the extra mile. The practical effects, the dialogue, the authenticity on the time period and set pieces and his desire to focus on period pieces and folklore eras. I truly hope this man plans on making movies for a long time. To me he’s like the next Francis Ford Coppola, Ridley Scott and Richard Donner of this generation!!!

Robert Eggers is just so amazing on how he shoots his films. Especially The Lighthouse (2019), like they managed to give us an aspect ratio from the very old days of cinema, a format that was used in films such as Westfron 1918 (1930) by G.W. Pabst. Eggers's is also one of my favorite filmmakers working today in the 21st century.
