Healing is a process. It may take days. Months. Years. Maybe never at all. Trauma especially. I haven’t gotten over when my dad shoved my head into a pillow to the point I blacked out. But if you’re sad all the time, you’ll never be happy. When you feel hated, unloved…you have to pay attention to the little things. You’re alive. Flowers are blooming. The sun is shining. You are loved.
I’ll be your doctor when you’re sick. I’ll be the light in your darkness.
I may not know you yet, but I do know one thing. We all love you. None of us know what happened. We may never know. Trusting us strangers with what’s going on takes bravery. And I am forever thankful that you trust us.
