I like when creators have a shorts specific channel to be able to browse through long form videos easily

I think as long as you can give the same value for why someone subscribed to your long form content in a short, upload it to this channel. But if you find the shorts you are making provide a different value, I’d make a second channel. I found when I tried to make a short I was deviating away from my original core value of my channel, due to the time constraints of having to give information much faster, so I’m going to experiment instead on a 2nd channel and come at a different angle .(I make tech reviews btw)

I enjoy your long form content. It feels quite polished and thought through. Spamming shorts would dilute the channel. I think you’re ‘big’ enough and have enough resources to spin off a dedicated shorts channel, if you intend to meaningfully pursue short form content.

I think occasionally is fine as long as the quality is there. It’s just that people’s attention span on the internet is so bad as it is, so I feel like these shorts are just making it worse. Just make sure it doesn’t replace the longer, thought out videos.

Shorts will be good for business but we all know why we hate them. Its really down to business vs integrity as an artist.

I think the problem with shorts is the way the recommendations work. You technically can chose whether you wanna scroll to the next video or just stop at the one you've just seen, but let's be honest here. If I could just watch your shorts, that'd be great. But the scrolling rabbit hole is an insane time sink.

I wouldn’t make a second channel just for that, shorts like your reels can give great value in a short time and expose your content to more people… so every now and then, why not?
