I really love HTYD, but when the film was announced, I was somehow upset, because even then it became clear that it was about money, the lack of an original idea and orientation to the viewer. Many films, such as The Lion King (2019), The Mermaid or Sonic were heavily criticized, some for animation, some for dissimilarity with the original. But when I saw the trailer, I was even more upset. Toothless is too cartoon, although the creators tried to be as close as possible to the cartoon, but this is too much. It is unlikely that dragons would be like this in real life, I will keep silent about the cast of actors for now. What was shown in the trailer is the same as in the movie, the scene is similar to the scene, the movements are similar to the movements. The task of the trailer is to interest a potential viewer, but something somehow didn't work out. I don't know, come up with a new story, as it was with the backstory of the Lion King, if there are no original ideas. I think nothing has surpassed the Jungle Book (2016) yet. I can praise this film. Of course, I'm probably biased, but my thoughts are still like this. I'll force myself to watch it one day, I think the director should have allowed at least some difference.

I am a big of all animation movies and specials even the series aren’t that bad. BUT…
- when the first announcement dropped I had mixed feelings. I’m glad it doesn’t looks that bad at first. Hope they didn’t just copied it one to one into live action, even it seems almost like it. We’ll see about that.
- Although it is another live action remake and I need to say I’m getting tired of them and its sad because it looks like its all about money. And every classic/Iconic/old animation movie getting a live action remake is taking the original magic. I didn’t really needed this but when its turning out watchable its at least not a disappointment. Especially for the franchise and fanbase.
