5000 SUBSCRIBERS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This is so unreal to me. I am overwhelmingly grateful for every single person that's decided to join me on this journey. There is nothing in the world I'd rather do than this, and it's thanks to you this dream is becoming reality.

This is NOT just a celebration, however!!! I am looking for some FEEDBACK, if you're willing to give it...

I personally listen to music exclusively on Youtube, but I've had more than a few requests to upload on Spotify, Soundcloud, etc.

The trouble is that I would really, really like to turn this into something I can do full time. I get to do what I love, you get more/better content faster...sounds like a win/win, right?

Well...monetization on other platforms is slim to none. The amount Spotify pays artists is a literal joke. I already have to deal with people downloading and reuploading my music on other platforms without my consent, and cannibalizing Youtube viewers by hosting music on different platforms that are completely unmonetized makes no sense. It'd be fine if I wasn't taking this seriously, but I'm trying to be smart and sustainable, y'know?

However, I know that one thing that a lot of people would like is UNCOMPRESSED music. Spotify and Soundcloud do technically compress, but not nearly as much as Youtube.

So what I've been thinking about is creating a Patreon or something similar (Youtube Memberships, maybe???) that would allow me to upload raw .wav files of my music to something like Dropbox or Google Drive, then share the link with all members.

This would be completely uncompressed for anyone that feels like supporting what I do (as well as secret future projects I'm working on).

It seems like a potentially good balance to me, cause regular viewers aren't LOSING anything by doing this, but anyone who wants to show a bit of extra support can get access to the uncompressed, raw files.

To repeat, this would change ABSOLUTELY NOTHING for everyone that watches normally. You get the same content of the same quality, maybe a bit more often if I get enough support to spend more time on this than I already do. This would just be a way to help me maybe make this into an actual career.

Lemme know what you think! Would you sign up for this if I launched it? Would you be supportive, but not do it yourself? Do you hate the idea and think I should just keep doing what I'm doing already?

In the end, I just want to do what makes everyone happy. I've never done anything like this before and am kinda just trying to figure it out while looking at what has worked (and NOT worked) for others in the past.

Happy 5K and here's to many more! Thank you from the bottom of my heart-with-flowey's-face.
