What do you guys think?

@aksula-1

I'm reading the replies, and I think most of you don’t understand what I'm talking about here specifically. Of course I'm still playing the game! It's a LOT of fun! This is in reference to content creation. Creating my stories, my videos, even my memes, it takes long hours of long and arduous editing work. I'm mostly referencing the video creation creativity aspect. It's extremely hard now to create my stories because the passion is dead, and Pete's leadership is completely to blame. He's single handedly steered the ship into an iceberg over and over and over and over again, year after year, while he and his management fled to the lifeboats while leaving all the devs behind. That kind of injustice and corruption within Bungie is incredibly demoralizing, and it's killed any love of content creativity for this game. Instead, I've simply demoted myself to a casual D2 gamer. Now I'm simply waiting for either Bungie to go bankrupt, Sony to take over, or whatever else might happen. I personally want Bungie to burn from the top down so the IP can be given to much better handlers. Destiny the franchise has incredible potential, and it can only reach it through better leadership.

@discipleofthelorentz

Yeah I see that 100%, though to me it feels like you get a lorentz driver shoved up there after enjoying it for a while, it just happens and that cycle has somehow never went away.

I'm just here to kill things with space magic! Things may be changing but I still find joy in getting new(or better stats) things and exploring the world in Destiny. All in all, I hope they bring back the black armory guns

Dude I feel you. I love the lore and characters still, but all the wonder and excitement for the game itself is gone for me. It just makes me sad now when I think of what could have been... Glad you're still enjoying the game tho 🔥

I wouldn’t even say abusing, because we all chose to go on that 10 year journey (and isn’t that part of the message in Final Shape?)… that said, as a business practice, it certainly is unethical what had been done, but I understand completely where you are coming from, as I left my fair share of relationships that invoked similar… feelings. But the key to happiness in making those long journey, for me at least, is to learn to break yourself free from that one thing, and move on to something you really love, something that will help you grow into a better person for the benefit of all of us. In the context of video games and/or entertainment, this would simply mean playing something other than Destiny altogether from time to time (as I had), whatever that interests you and you alone. Grow your passions and wonder from it. I had my moments of exhaustion too; hence why I did that. Honestly the reckoning at Bungie and their games is well-deserved at this point, for better or worse… I only hope that those still working there truly find something better, and those who are still around, who have led that 10 year journey but for all the wrong reasons, that karma takes a big bite in the arse.

I couldn’t have said it better

@burgmond3

I set out to beat the Witness with Behemoth Titan (at least the Witness on the legendary campaign), and I did it. Heck I even finally gained a Heal Clip weapon, finally patching the last hole in my build: MY SELF SUSTAIN. Then I perfected it (as much as I could) when Revenant rolled by. Now I join my friends, as we, all together now, find our Destinies somewhere else. I think we all must do the same.

@Cephal0god

I didn’t buy the expansion or returned. I just watched videos on the updated lore. I’m satisfied. The only thing that would make me return for a day would be SuperBlack returning for bright dust

I bailed when final shape came out. Sure everything looked cool and the new subclass was neat but, i was once again going to have to grind stuff again and i dont know. I just couldnt bring my self to keep going. So i left, and i dont regret it.

I bailed after season of the deep brought the 3rd round of reskin weapons after lightfall. Its been weird seeing this cybertruck of a franchise occasionally barrel past my feed engulfed in flames after crashing through an orphanage

It's a little bit like Minecraft. The game is good but it's possible to work too much into it

Also i'm pretty excited by your idea for a novel so keep it going and i can't wait for the opportunity to read it one day !

@ghzpro6011

Just don't think about it and play the game. If you like it, there's really nothing else that matters than that on an individual level

@Sonichero151

I'm still not sure if i want to play Edge of Fate..... even though i bought it

@Gabija400

If you saw potential from Destiny that has yet been realized, it would behoove you as a creative to see it realized, and I’m glad to hear you’re doing that.

@aleatheltrashcan478

Nobody is forcing you to play or even think about the game. If people are burnt out that’s fine, play something else

@emilsingapurcan8054

I come back rarely to play because i like making a new (or using an old) fun build with the genuinely good buildcraft system, and taking it against low level enemies for a sweet power fantasy. Then i turn to the higher level stuff hoping to expand my arsenal, and my blood runs cold seeing the grind, seeing the mess of a game. Its like destiny is enjoyable for what i already have, and i must never, ever hope it gets better than this. Ill continue enjoying my infinite tommys, my ex diristator, etc... i wont bat an eye at the next expansion. (Its telling that i skip new content info, only care about exotic weapon rebalances.)
