I find it so funny that you need a minus atk nature to be able to get a spd beast boost on Kartana

@UnchainedPandoran

Two steel monstrosities. I’ll go Celesteela. It’s much more out there and strange, which I like.

aw man, the princess kaguya spaceship is trailing pretty hard. Well, it gets my vote anyway!

@artimist0315

I have a similar opinion on both, really cool Pokémon conceptually that ended up annoying me in practice. From a design point of view they work great as aliens but aren't cool, cute or scary enough, just strange and that is a bit hard to get super attached to, especially since the lack of texture doesn't really allow them to get strange enough. I also don't think the alien nature work well with the traditional japanese inspirations, celesteela especially feels more gothic than sci fi. From a strategic point of view, I really like that they gage a clear weakness to Kartana and played with beast boost to decide its stats, in practice though I feel like the result ended up not very nuanced and feeling kinda broken. Celesteela's concept allowed for a very creative and extensive movepool, having leach seeds, flamethrower, earthquake, air slash all on the same Pokémon is a cool concept and the more balanced stats allowed for a creative use of beast boost, but in practice it leaned a bit too much on defence making it really annoying to face and making the movepool way less exiting than it should.

Kartana: “Tcejbaw silthruw a tuk ya nega snow” (“Once again I cut a worthless object” backwards). I think one of the most entertaining unusual Pokémon calls from the anime.

@EllieBee542

They’re both incredible, but I love the idea of weaponized paper cuts.

Bamboo Princess Rocket looks beautiful, I'll choose her, because I never think about Kartana because Hot Take: Kartana is the most forgettable.

Kartana’s existence made vaccum wave a viable move on scizor. Love when awful moves are sometimes used because they bully one Mon in particular. Brings me back to running peck on mamoswine or gust on flygon for heracross. Ah the good ol days

@crylemite

I hated Celestela when Sun and Moon came out. After Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon and I saw that things Ultra Space, I started to like it more and more.

@ologames1185

I know it's not exactly what they were really going for, but the rockets always looked like Rayman arms to me and I love that design style so it's Celesteela for me.

@finthehumanxiii

I used Kartana in a rom hack (The Pit: 100 Floors). Fell in love with that speedy boy. (Just watch out for fire types, lol.)

Both are good

@JunkDwheel

I’d pick a rocket over origami any day

@megalowie1324

Kartana is way more competitively viable, but Celesteela is so much cooler design wise, kinda like an Elden Ring creature.

@juanc.corrada3475

I dunno much about Kartana, but it gives me Nope vibes so I'm going with that
