ROA OFF-ROAD

WE NEED YOUR HELP!

Tomorrow, Vaughn (Owner of MDC) is coming to visit ROA once again. We are going to be taking him out for a day of off-roading and filming. One of things we want to do is sit down with him and ask him YOUR questions!

So comment below!

What would you want to ask Vaughn from MDC?

I just saw the YouTube sneak peek of the XT16 HR Island MKIII and OMG.. I LOVE the wood tone countertops and darker cabinets!! WAYYY better than the stark white/marble look of the MK2. Gives it a homey feel! Any inkling when it will be available in the US?? πŸ™πŸΌπŸ™πŸΌπŸ™πŸΌ ALSO! What are the chances of getting the 16 island stove upgraded to the one you use in the 16 east/west! Having that oven would be amazing!! (I cook a LOT of sourdough brea

I saw a Forte 9+ in person. It’s as well built as can be. Really impressed. Any chance of bringing the XL13E MKIII to the states?

When is someone going to build a 4 season Off Road trailer that is easily towed by a Mid Size Truck, at a price that reflects its size to truck ratio compared to the full sized trailer?

Regarding the XT17HRT FAMILY I would ask him if it were possible to get the same electrical setup in the US as the AUS version has ( duel life pro batteries/TBB inverter charger) vs the single battery setup with the AIMS Power inverter. Maybe pair that with swapping to a dometic 12v AC like the Roamer 1 has that allows the use of the air conditioner off grid and is quieter from what I have read. I also noticed and am curious why the Aus version has 875w of solar vs the US version at 700w and I wonder if lesser panels are being used in the US version (correction looks like the US version just has 1 less panel in the rear of the roof). Looks like they also swapped the diesel heater for the propane heater and I would rather have the diesel heater (the diesel heater duct looks cleaner on the interior as well). I also noticed the refrigerator was swapped. Overall it looks like a bit of a downgrade in the US version vs the AUS version and I would love to see an option to have all of the Australian version components in the US version. If you start pricing all of these components it becomes apparent there was some cost saving measures applied to the US version. I would also ask him for some more context regarding the pricing of these trailers. If you add a trailer to cart on MDC's AUS website the total is $89,990 AUD or $58,482 USD once converted. If you add to cart on MDC's US website the total is $70,300. A difference of $11,818 while getting a downgrade in components and half the battery capacity. Just some info that I thought was good for people to know as I have dug into these trailer quite extensively and was disappointed by the discovery that the US version gets cheaper components for %20 higher cost. I am not saying I am an expert at the cost of doing business in different countries and realize starting up in another country is probably expensive and difficult. I would just hope even if the cost is higher we could get the same components as the AUS trailer or utilize a configurable trailer designer that customers could pick the off the shelf parts used in the trailer. Lastly, I noticed MDC AUS has a 19' caravan as well and seeing a family version of that available in the US for us with a family of 5 would be awesome. Still really impressive trailers compared to what is available here and props to ROA for getting better products available in the US. Edit: One final edit and I will quit with the novel about these. I heard there is a new law in Australia that is prohibiting having batteries in the living space of the trailers and am wondering if new design changes are in the works to move the batteries to the front storage similar to the XT17HRT non family unit. I may be wrong on this but am curious if the law changes in Australia will come to the US as I do not really like the idea of my child sleeping right above such powerful batteries.
