Over the holiday weekend, I had the privilege of viewing the Jane Stickle (aka Dear Jane) quilt at the Vermont Bennington Museum! Because it's so old (1868), they only display her between Labor Day and Indigenous Peoples' Day — JUST made it! 😅

I talk more about it over on this week's latest "Mini Waffle" (available to A Cuppa Somethin' tier members) but because it's so incredible, I thought I'd share some more detailed shots of the quilt, here.

Apologies for the bad lighting - The quilt is understandably displayed in a dark room with a light sensor to protect it from further damage/aging. Please enjoy!!

ETA: I think I may need to tackle my own version of this quilt soon! 🫠

I can’t get over the detail, including the binding around the quilt’s edge! Beautiful & so inspiring 🤩

I love looking at this quilt but the thought of making it is daunting. I'm getting up there in years & am afraid I would run out of time. 😄

It’s beautiful, I can’t imagine how long it must have taken to make it, especially with poor lighting. I don’t know the story behind this quilt but I’m eager to learn!
