The long and short of it is that I don't think everything has to be a full video. I still want to write articles, and sometimes I play a game on my own time, it's very long, and it would take prohibitively long to replay the game in order to get footage. And then there's also the simple fact that I have to be real about the wants and needs about my audience and what they are willing to watch. I've already had certain videos bomb because they were "outside of my wheelhouse." If I want to create something but keep production value manageable, this is a good way to do it.
Also, in the case of Voices of the Void, there's also the chaotic element, too. If I didn't get video of it when it happened as it was happening, I may not be able to get video of it again a second time. So, here we are.
The podcast is also on Patreon, and if you want a 4 minute sample of what the podcast sounds like, Patreon offers that: www.patreon.com/posts/133074975
