Howdy folks. Just dropping a quick blurb to let you know I'm still very much active but have been casually gaming the last few weeks while I let the last batch of videos marinate a little. I did pick up some imports for the Dreamcast and PS2 recently as well as a few outliers for my collection ("Ar Nosurge" for PS3 to go with the "Plus" version I have for Vita, "Bahamut Lagoon" for the Super Famicom and "Misaki-Aggressive!" for PS1). Been playing a lot of this game called "Brave x Junction" the last week - it's a "Blackjack RPG" that seems to have been trying to ride the coattails of the indie faux-gambling renaissance of "Balatro", "All in Abyss" and games of their ilk. It's got a rough (but comprehensible) machine translation and isn't very deep, but has enough meat on its bones to justify its low price tag. I'm currently in the post game dungeon which they, frankly, padded the heck out of it. Being developed by Rideon (who are often associated with Kemco), it also has a few neat cameos for "Adventure Bar Story / Labyrinth" fans which doesn't seem to have made the rounds yet. While this final (?) dungeon is a slog, the core loop is satisfying enough and I did capture some clips to make a video for it.
