Keep on Growin'

Imagine this…
Someone hates you, degrades you, laughs at and mocks you and others like you. Imagine that they come to you and ask for help. Imagine them begging you to help them and their family. You might find the strength to do that if you are a good person.
Imagine it happening constantly…every day…several times a day…over and over for years.
If you degrade people like me, you degrade me.
If you mock people like me, you mock me.
If you work to take away the rights of people like me, you work to take away my rights.
I have always wanted to help people and out of grace have done my best for the last decade. I am not really feeling it anymore. It’s not right or wrong, it’s just how I feel.
If people draw a line in the sand and divide us, why would they cross that line to ask for help? Why should I help?
It’s easy to say I should “be the better person” but it gets tiring day in and day out watching people suffer at the hands of those that divide us.
I am broken. I need to see more people erase those lines in the sand, come together and help each other…or at the very least, tolerate and respect each other.
I love answering questions, engaging with others and helping all I can. I can’t help certain people anymore until things get better, until people act civilized. I can not go into the comments and messages. I can not pick and choose who to interact with. I still will come across those people and I really don’t even want to see it anymore. Standing up for what I believe in is not “just ignoring” people who foam at the mouth and throw hate at me and others like me.
I have videos of old footage from the past decade scheduled to go out. Take whatever information and inspiration you can from them. If I do not comment back to you, I may not be ignoring you or think you are bad. I love most of you out there, I just do not have the energy to filter who I help and who I choose not to. This is the only way that I can still help everyone, even those that hate me.
My regulars can message me with questions about growing food, I will always help you. Please do not message me with inspiration, motivation or advice on how I should deal with this. I have made up my mind and drawn my own line in the sand. It stops now and I will continue until the world finds a way to tip the scales back in the direction of kindness and respect.

Your videos have been truly inspirational. I love how you have shown growing is doable for anyone willing to give it a go without it costing an arm & a leg. It is a sad day when those who truly care enough to help are pummelled too much to continue. May God bless you for what you have selflessly given 💚🧡 I am one of many who are very thankful for y

Mike, thank you for all you've done for me and my family. I am not a rich person and I greatly appreciate your simple instructions on how to start growing. I found your channel several years ago and I am now mostly self-sufficient in salad veg. I have enough to share with a neighbor who helps us with hard jobs. Take care. I understand your viewpoint.

I have watched many of your videos. I have down spout hydroponic setups. You have always been the leader for low cost hydroponics. You are appreciated.

I'm sitting here in Vermont eating a salad of hydroponic veg & micro greens because your teaching impressed me so much a year ago I started micro growing immediately. Then it took me 3 months in the community wood shop to build a "growing" bookcase-wall which I installed in the spare room. Once installed it took 10 days to my first micro green harvest and 30 days to my first hydroponic harvest and it hasn't stopped since. You should see the bok choy and tomatoes! The self sufficiency of growing greens all winter long is empowering. Boundaries are important for healthy relationships. Hang in there. You are doing a lot more good out in the world than you realize, Mike.

Thanks Mike, watching your videos inspired me to make my own hydroponic garden! I made 4 Kratky buckets and 4 downspout systems and I have more tomatoes peppers and herbs I know what to do with! Haters don't deserve your help. Sometimes you have to look out for yourself, and make choices so others don't bring you down.
