I've made a fully functional "board game" with my siblings based around medieval Playmobil figures. We used the d4-d12 dice for the game

Technically i made my own game but it was very far from finished. I was a kid who thought game development would be fun so i took a class that by the end everyone had their own (unfinished) games that could be brought home and worked on. There were so few instructors and so many students in the class though that i felt like you often didnt get the help you needed and by the end my hope for a career in game design was crushed because i realized that it was kind of boring and super technical. Instead of working on the stuff you wanted to work on youd sit there and try to fix the same basic things over and over again often without help as stated because there were a lot of questions, and maybe a bit of favoritism. Probably didnt help that we were on campus the whole time and i was just a kid. I didnt feel like i fit in with the “cool” kids because i am not extroverted and i didnt feel like i fit in with the odd kids because i could recognize they were odd.

There are 52 different cards in a deck of playing cards. 13 types, four suits of each. Great place to start

I'm constantly writing down different rules for board games but never get into any serious development.

Never tried and unfortunately I might never will, I am not smart enough for that, but wish I would be.

Kibbles Gaming
Have you ever tried to make a video game? Or a board game for that matter? Or any type of game?
