She had not prayed to God for help ever since her husband passed away. But this time around, faith felt like a hollow echo. In such desperate times, Elena tried praying softly. “If you are out there God, the time to help me is now.”
A nurse stopping to give Elena some hope in the form of a smile was slightly warming - “Keep faith. Miracles happen all the time.”
A few hours later a surgeon came to see her. Elena was still shaken, but the promise of a miracle gave her more tears. God had given her the hope she needs through a stranger and reminded her least she wasn’t alone.
This time around love had found her in silence, thus Elena is not giving up on God just yet.
