Define "3rd Industrial Revolution".  Things have changed. Gone are the days of huge differences in sporting glass quality. Computer analysis, digital control, and automation in quality control in manufacturing have figured it out and made it very repeatable for a fraction of the cost. In short, modern instruments and tools are getting better and are becoming much less expensive to produce.

2 days ago I bought a Redfield reveal 3-18×44 ffp.. as far as the glass looks and turrets/reticle feel and look, it's pretty awesome!. I have not had a chance to mount it on anything, so I'll have to keep you posted.. it was $450.00..

Reminds me of the concept of a “blue jean operator” just dominating and slaying the “Chads”. I think there’s even a YouTube video about it somewhere. Wink wink.

Totally agree! Been shooting a $100 scope on my AR for years that is as good as some of my friends expensive scopes for years. I confess tho you convenienced me to buy the Zulius night vision and it's setting here waiting for me to get time to swap it over.

I actually have a lot of fun shooting a left bolt chipmunk 22lr pistol. I got it as a test to see if I wanted to shoot a pistol with left bolt right handed. I do..and I'm surprised how fun that thing is to shoot. I also used to scoff at single action revolvers. Till I got my 480 sbh. Something about each one loaded in its own spot is satisfying..wish I got one sooner. My rifle is a bit pricey although I got it used at a great price. It runs a super sniper and has been flawless for years.

Still in the lead time window for my incoming EPL 6-24. Going to learn how to properly use that VPR - MIL reticle with my new 6.5 creedmore gas gun before moving up to the EP5 G2 perhaps on a bolt action rifle in a more powerful caliber.

I t’s the same for many products nowadays, especially electronics. Cheap and widely available chips with advanced capabilities sold for pennies have made automation & control affordable and in turn the tooling and machinery for many kinds of manufacturing cheap enough so small companies or a dedicated tinkerer can afford to make sophisticated products rivaling or even besting older ones made with more expensive established methods that simply can’t keep up.

It's fine if it's cheap, Does it Function Reliably? Y/N? If N, trash, if Y, congrats.

When your average below average rifle runs steel case like it's high dollar ammo and your buddie next to ya can barely get the semi expensive stuff to run threw his princess it's a weird silence every time cause he knows and you know he has paid way to much. Seriously accuracy out of a 14.5 is only gonna go so far but something that will love everything like a ranch mini 14 is a kick plus A team was rad except now there 1,000 dollars and up an no one knows why exactly. But cheap barrels fun to shoot eats everything is a blast people and there high horse i swear
