Trench Crusade is awesome,

Mike Franchina and his team really created something amazing content.

When I saw the Witchburner with his judge’s wig, and ability to set fire to any magic user, I realized that he would make a perfect D&D paladin subclass.

From the wiki: “The Witchburners are the field officers of the Inquisition. They are tasked with hunting down and punishing witches, warlocks and heretics that cannot be brought to face justice by conventional means.”

Their ability to set fire to anyone using arcane around them was a ready-made aura, and then I got creative with the rest of the abilities.

Fun Fact: In the game of Trench Crusade, they cannot run, they are forced to pimp walk. I did not add that to their abilities here, but feel free to do so.

This is Fan content, not affiliated with Trench Crusade or Wizards of the Coast.

Enjoy!

The capstone is so nice that I wouldn't even multiclass. Incredibly fun subclass.

Bruh, at like 85% of tables the dude playing a fuckin' "witchburner paladin" is gonna be "that guy". This shit is dnd 5e were talking about. Half the other players at the table are going to be full on spell slinging wizards, warlocks, sorcerers, and druid casters. Oath of the ancients already exists as an anti spellcaster paladin without going full "magic evil." Which is just a nonsense take in a world like 5e.
