Joy Ross

I have some exciting news! I am auditioning for 2025 Sports Illustrated Swim!

Sports illustrated swim has a beautiful mission of shining a light so brightly on diversity, and the beauty that radiates within women all over! It would be such an honor and a joy for me to be a part of their diversity, helping to open the eyes of the world to see beauty, to see blindness in a different light! You don’t have to have eyesight to have vision, to feel beautiful, to be beautiful, or to live a big beautiful life! Blindness is beautiful! I am beautiful!

Oh, but wouldn’t it be so incredible to be the first blind girl on the cover of Sports Illustrated Swim? I will keep you all posted on this journey, I have to submit modeling photos, as well as a video showing them my personality and my heart. If they like what they see and hear, I will be flying to Miami in a couple months for the finals . Please keep me lifted up in your prayers, this would be a dream come true!!! I don’t wanna live for myself, but I want to live to make a difference in this world! Believing the best is yet to come!

Photo descriptions: in these photos, I am posing on a beach by a river in Washington state wearing a small red rhinestone string bikini in what feels like 37°F. The sky is a beautiful blue, and the sun is shining. The backdrop is beautiful for a winter day in the Pacific Northwest. My awesome friend Cat is taking my photos, and I am just striking poses naturally, moving my body feeling the moment and the beauty! Some photos will show me standing posing beautifully, others show me on the sand, on my knees, and sitting, just taking in the elements and the emotions I was feeling. My long black hair cascades down my back and over my shoulders, I am very petite, with curves, and fit with a beautiful tan. In some photos, I’m posing with my rhinestone Kane, some with a red matching umbrella, and some others with me in this really cute wooden canoe that was on the sand. I love modeling. It brings me so much joy!!!
