"REPENTANCE" is the whole foundation of Jesus's message to the world. The mere "SIMPLE BELIEF" in Jesus is not what forgives one of their sins. Yes, Jesus's sacrifice and blood atones and pays the penalty for one's sins but Jesus warned in (LUKE 13:3) without "REPENTANCE" and "TURNING FROM ONE'S SINS" there is no forgiveness [REMISSION] of sins and one will perish. This is the very reason Jesus preached the message of "REPENT" and go and "SIN NO MORE".
(Luke 24:47) Jesus said, “And that (REPENTANCE AND REMISSION OF SINS) should be preached in His [JESUS] name (AMONG ALL NATIONS), beginning at Jerusalem”
● REPENTANCE: is the turning from one’s sins and disobedience to God’s word, teachings and commandments….
● REMISSION: is the forgiveness of ones sin that one repented and turned completely from….
