Me & Angel video out now: found.ee/PG-MeAndAngel. One of my favorite songs I’ve ever written. I wrote it very quickly one night, kind of suddenly and with the entire melody and lyric coming together at once. I never had to revisit the demo. Taking it to the studio though was hard, I had to do a lot of takes. I was too emotional. That has never happened before. The video is us on the street where we live by our house.
Alan was the first person I ever sang in front of. We’ve played every single show together for 15 years, made every single song and album together. When we started it was just him and I, perched on our keyboards at the front of the stage. I miss playing that way sometimes, how intense it could be when it was just the two of us. We’re going on tour as a duo again. Playing some older songs, stripping back newer ones and maybe writing stuff just for these shows.
I feel weird writing all of this in a way, how can I write anything? I love Alan, we have been together forever. I don’t like talking about it it’s too much for me. Whenever I try to think about it I have to stop or I think i will pass out
