Hi Cynthia, thank you so much for your great videos, your positive attitude and all the chord charts. You are a fantastic teacher with a beautiful voice. Could you please show us how to exchange strings?

@tdottravels

You are a phenomenal ukulele player with such a lovely voice and I love your take on so many popular tunes! Which artist/band (from the past or present) would you most like to perform with and why?

Hey Cynthia! When will you be making another Uke squad video with us all playing along (like “Somewhere Over The Rainbow”). That video is awesome and brings your supporters from all over the world to play together even if we’re all in different time zones or busy etc. I can’t really get involved in your live streams much due to time difference here in Australia and work etc. A regular Uke squad play along video every month or two would be great and something we could practice and look forward to taking part in. I realise however they are not easy to edit and put together but just an idea! Thanks for all your help and effort you put in. Craig - Geelong, Australia

What are your tips for practising uke on a consistent basis? I go through periods of regular practice for 2 weeks, then not practise for 3 months, then repeat. Progress is slow 😆 Love your tutorials

Hi Cynthia, thanks for all the tutorials you uploaded, great great contents, congratulations! I learned lots of lovely songs from it. My question is, how can I keep the swing feel while singing, I can’t do both at the same time. 😅 thanks in advance for your help. Love you

Hi Cynthia. My question is a general guitar/uke question: when jamming with another uke player what should/could each of you be doing so that you're each playing something different but complementary. A standard starting point may be one person fingerpicks while the other person strums. Any more suggestions. Thank you

Hi Cynthia, I am playing my uke just over a year now. It was easy at the beginning to set goals but have you any advice after a year playing, how to set realistic goals for the year ahead. I want to make steady progress and I am concerned about butterflying between goals and not making much progress this year.

3 months in and barre chords are not (yet!) my friends. Continued tips, tricks, exercises , etc for barre chords are much appreciated.

Hi Cynthia, when can we give song suggestions to be voted for live lessons? Would love to have the opportunity to do it even if my song is not picked. I have not seen a song I love to learn in the recent months. Understand people like different types of songs and you have your reasons when picking one to teach, but really want to be part of the selection process so can be excited for the lessons. Thanks.

@Cre8tiveWoman

Which brand of Low G strings is the best for someone with a "weak" fingerpicking hand? Thanks!

Thanks for what you do and share :) I love the finger picking play alongs best as this is a fav way of playing :) I do struggle with Barr chords and am finding the E chord tricky - possibly die to my fingers sometimes seizing up - any tips? Thanks in advance :) Best wishes from NZ - stay safe and well - Kia Kaha!

@A-Wa

how did you start to learn instruments and which one was your first? :D

@Philmosk1

Ma'am, in your opinion, is there a point in time that had "better" music to learn on the ukulele? Not so much song quality, but songs better suited to the ukulele? As I'm learning to play, I find some tablature, even when specifically for ukulele, can have chord progressions that rapidly jump from basic to barre and back, leaving my fret hand in knots, whereas some other songs will have chords that flow with a finger lift, making the song both easier and more of a pleasure to play. Looking to add more of the latter to my repertoire.

Hi Cynthia... I am fairly new to uke and am impressed with the quality of your teaching videos. Thank You. Wonderful gift to us. I need a new ukelele as the inexpensive one I have has a string that vibrates and stays off tune. Any suggestions for either fixing this problem, or do you have any recommendations for ukes in a reasonable price range? Also, I am trying to understand about having a low G string vs a high G string. Which is standard? And, why a preference of one string over the other?

@nathaliesuke

What time of the day is best for a vocal warmup (besides right before practicing?)

3 years ago | 1

@jeffreywiegand2

Do you have any finger exercises for strength and dexterity? Do you do any finger warm ups not just playing?
