In honor of three and a half years of bringing #LocalNewsMatters to the people in the Southern Tagalog and Bicol Region before it ended last Friday, I created the #BalitangSouthernTagalog and #BalitangBicolandia logos with the updated ones, used in the remaining 4 local newscasts of GMA Regional TV
In Context: • In August 30, 2024, the two local newscasts ended their programming. Before that day, there were speculations that Balitang Bicolandia and Southern Tagalog will end programming. • Balitang Bicolandia is the local newscast produced by GMA Regional TV and premiered on February 1, 2021. Rahyne Palino, , Jessie Cruzat, and Catherine Henry are the original newscasters. In 2023, Kate Delovieres joined the team and he became a "solo" anchor for the Newscast. • Balitang Southern Tagalog is the local newscast produced by GMA Regional TV for the Southern Tagalog region (CALABARZON and MIMAROPA) and premiered on February 14, 2022. Ivy Saunar-Gasang and Ace Medrano are the original newscasters. Ace Medrano later on became solo anchor.
