Do what makes YOU happy. Don't fall into the pressure of feeding the YT algorithm. Your subscribers will be with you regardless of when/what you post. You do you.

I need your help. I write monthly Blogs but I’ve been thinking of doing Video-Blogs (Vlogs) for my YouTube channel. It would be no longer than 8-10 minutes. I’d discuss different topics, explore my thoughts and offer any advice based on my own personal experience. I’d also take suggestions from you regarding topics and also do Q&A sessions.
