Master Samwise

10,000 words. I have written 10,000 words of the first draft of my novel in the past 5 days.

So I might not be uploading as much this month. My hope is, in a few years and after who knows how many revisions, you all will get the chance decide if it was worth it.

For you, that is. It’s already worth it for me. I love this story and I’m super excited to discover it even as I tell it.

I’m not a writer, but an artist, and doing one artwork a day is quite a challenge for me! Good job on working so hard towards your book goal, mad respect

Watched your video on killing demons. A series that you might want to look that is very close to the subject as you touched upon Anime and are writing a book you might want to look into Zilbagias the Demon Prince. It was quite a strange concept to a story as the main character dies and reincarnates as the son of the demon who killed him. The story has gone farther then most to humanize the enemy while still keeping to the idea that they killed without mercy. It was quite a read.

November is National Novel Writing Month (NaNoWriMo). There's an official website for it to encourage writers to break the ice and start writing, like Inktober is for drawing. So this is a great time to dig in! Cheers!

If only J.R.R Martin would have that kinda of commitment to finishing his book that he started 13 YEARS AGO

I love getting into the zone and seeing my work come alive. In September I released Future Sepsis, my second book and first novel, and even after a 12 hour work day sometimes I could get 4000 words done in a session.

@SuperStoryMode

I've learned that it's always worth it; no time is wasted, even when it feels that way. My struggle is in beginning at all. I just prepare, and prepare, and prepare... You've already taken the first step to victory, in that regard! Preparedness is certainly a virtue, but without action it becomes stale and soul-sucking. And when we *do* just start creating, I've come to realize that the imperfections in our work become a representation of our personal growth. It's something to look back on fondly. True art, after all, comes from the heart: our thoughts, feelings, and personal experiences. We don't create for the audience: we create for ourselves, and the audience chooses us. People don't resonate with "masterpieces", they resonate with soul. Our true audience will be just as excited and supportive of our efforts when our art looks/reads/sounds like a preschooler made it, as they will when it becomes an international phenomenon! So, good on you, Sam! And good luck! Regardless of how well it comes together from here, take it from me: FINISH WHAT YOU'VE STARTED!!! And as for me... It's time that I start, myself: both on creating my art, and my YouTube channel!

I'm at 8000 myself! Let's bring more optimism, hope, and heroism back into fiction!

Dang. Putting my 2,000 (so far) words to shame. Keep up the good work. You’ve legit done so much to keep me inspired, and I love that you’re stepping out there to tell a story of your own.

That's amazing! I love your commitment and dedication! Enjoy the process and don't be too hard on yourself. As an author myself, I am so excited for you and glad you're catching the writing bug.

Keep writing! I've been writing every day this year, keeping a steady 1k daily now (though that includes rewriting sometimes) and I have felt myself improving every week! I used to hate what I wrote but I'm slowly starting to be proud of the result now!
