Did NOT have Judge B in flip flops on my bingo card today! I'm looking forward to this. I think he has to be one of the most patient people on Earth and I'm most interested to see what goes on behind the calm Judge facade. His speaking voice is very soothing (to me, at least, I imagine Lori hates it😂) and I'd really like to just hear him cut loose at a ballgame or something. His family would probably laugh at that, but when all you see is the calm surface, it does make you wonder what the flipside is like. I truly hope we'll get as many little glimpses of the person inside of the judge ... wearing flip-flops tells me he's not as buttoned up as one would think from the public persona.

Judge Beresky is one of my most favorite judges that I’ve seen in any of the trials that I’ve watched so far. He is fair, extremely patient and knows of the law inside out. I think it’s great that people that cannot get out and be able to watch trial in person is able to see it on YouTube.

Following COVID, and the lawlessness that continues to follow, some of us are starved for true and honest justice, and have criminals locked away!! It was my pleasure and honor to watch this peaceful and honorable judge each day preside over the two trials for a shallow, entitled thief, liar and murderer. His grace and patience toward her, while she deserved none of it, was what needed to be done so that true justice could occur and she could be locked away forever. Our thanks to you, Judge Beresky.

It's not common for a judge to speak on the record with a reporter, so when I reached out to Judge Justin Beresky requesting an interview, I figured there would be some conditions.
I was aware he would likely not answer questions about the two Lori Vallow Daybell trials he presided over earlier this year. If he wanted to discuss them, I'd be more than happy to listen, but judicial rules prohibit judges from making public statements about their cases.
As Beresky sat day after day in an Arizona courtroom presiding over a case with Idaho ties, few knew that he himself has deep roots in the Gem State. That’s the story I wanted to tell, and after some time, the judge agreed to sit down with me for his first-ever media interview.
