Darth Vader or the inquisitors in Star Wars is what I would imagine if Katara actually fully embraced blood bending out of fear and anger. She would need someone dear to her save her from her "dark side."

Amon is the only non- avatar character to take away bending from someone else. He was so OP that Korra had to activate her plot armor just to beat this guy.

I feel like Katara had the capacity to be an incredibly strong blood bender, but in the end it was her immense strength in her morals that stopped her, and I think that in itself is admirable.

How does Kattara get more votes than Yakone who incacipated Prime Aang, Prime Toph and Prime Sokka along with dozens of other benders simultaneously while still handcuffed during the day Aang needed the power of the avatar state to break his grip Tarrlok who can effortlessly bloodbend without a full moon and Korra couldn't even break free(She hasn't mastered the avatar state yet) I love Kattara the most out of the four too but there are five bloodbenders and kattara is the 4th strongest After Amon, Yakone and Tarrlok she's only a stronger bloodbender than Hama who's an 80 year old lady

I don’t get why people are so confused or mixed up with this, it’s quite simple to me Katara was no different than Yakone or Amon she was an extremely talented and gifted waterbender. A prodigy in almost every aspect fighting and healing. Her natural innate talent awakened her blood bending, the only difference between Katara and Yakone + Amon is that Katara MADE A CHOICE NOT to work hard to master the power of blood bending. And that was her choice to make. Amon and Tarlock were forced to master their ability against their own will it’s true, but they still WORKED HARD. Talent without Hard Work means nothing . 1. Amon 2. People who vote katara either didn’t read the question, WAYY to delusional, or. Never watched korra ever…… Katara is the last one on this list just because she “swore to never use bloodbending” doesn’t mean she would be easily top if she used it for one time. She is inexperienced at it. She may have beaten hamna with blood bending even she hamna invented it but still hamna isn’t even that good herself compared to the others. It’s like saying a the first ford car in the 1800s would beat any ford car now because it started it💀. I hope yall paint this picture that they are the only 2 using bloodbending so whatever yall seen katara do, that’s like basic bloodbending, maybe novice or intermediate. Tarlok and Yakone are canonically weaker bloodbend era than Amon. Yakone was able to overpower Kattara with bloodbending in the canon, also he is able to bloodbend in daylight.

Katara essentially needed the full moon to accomplish this ability. Without the full moon, she's completely nothing compared to Amon and Yakone. She wasn't even on the same level as Yakone and Amon in terms of control over bloodbending. Amon and Yakone's control of this terrifying ability is far beyond the reach of Katara.
