This is nearly a perfect description of my life. I was unfortunately a queerphobe when I was younger. My parents always told me that I could love whoever I wanted to, but my child brain needed them to be specific that that included both guys and girls, and I happened to be around a lot of homophobic people so I was just raised thinking that being queer was bad. Fast forward to my first year in high school and the two closest friends on my color guard team were trans and another close friend was bisexual. I quickly became an ally, and figured out I was bisexual myself half a year later after several months of debating if I was or wasn’t.
