Both look great, and I can really appreciate the effort that went into the more realistic one. I voted for the simpler one though — I think your play style and commentary are what really draw people in, more than a flashy thumbnail that anyone could copy. But your channel is also your art, so whatever style feels most you is the right call. 👻

I really like both, actually. I voted for the more "stylized" one because I think it's really readable. But I don't think you'll go wrong using either one, because they both look appealing. If you want to go for the more "realistic" one and you have the time and energy to put into it, there is definitely a feeling of quality to it.

I think the more time consuming one is the right one. I am more of a fan of the realistic one. I am a huge horror guy and visualizing the realistic one is more enjoyable for me. But I do like both .

They both look good but there’s something truly unsettling about the more effort/time consuming one. It looks terrifying and haunting… almost like it’s art of the gameplay/transporting the audience into the game.

Effort and time often heed better results, I’m afraid. Not advocating for you spending more time on something so small, but subjectively, to my eye, the more effort one looks better to me

So, I have access to more assets to make thumbnails. Before I go crazy with them, what do you all think: do you like the thumbnails I've been doing lately (more cartoon-ish), or is the one that takes more effort (more realistic) better? Feel free to tell me why one is better than the other below!
