Episode 2 thoughts—

Episode start:
This is where we get out first Cake At Stake scene! This was probably one of the most potent ways of community engagement, especially considering it was a webshow made by people who wanted to make their own cool thing! I'd gush over the concept of CAS more, but I don't want to run out of space.
The Win Token is very well explained, but its potential isn't really used very well in future episodes. Overall, a neat little item that is remembered but not used.
The jokes here, such as "Sit," where the announcer states the word and all the Squashy Grapes sit, as well as "TLC," which is a term that isn't explained upon until later, are very funny.
The elimination of Flower was iconic, especially with the Announcer Crusher. But overall, not much to say.

Challenge:
A lot happens in today's challenge (Obstacle Course), so I'll go over the notable parts.

Pencil is funny, spouting iconic lines such as "Now let's go, super fast!" And "Oh no, I've been dulled!" They're poignant and well delivered. Honestly, if I had to pick a favorite character upon watching this series today, I'd probably pick Pencil.
The constant scenes of Needle being hit off the climbing wall is hilarious, and I liked it a lot.
The Blocky subplot, where contestants have to find Blocky after he supposedly died, is a bit distracting. The idea in isolation is well executed, but it just takes away from the overall experience.

Firey is hot. Enough said.
The Leafy and Icy scene is well executed, and I think it serves the show and tells viewers what's to come.
At the section where contestants must find needles in a haystack is incredibly well done. Needle scans herself and Firey just burns the haystack after initially searching manually, showing his one-track mind, is funny. Teardrop having to actually search through the haystack is also pretty good, and it cements the challenge in favor of the Squishy Cherries when she passes the test, who get another win over the already weakened team. This is due to Firey being useless when around water, since the final part of the obstacle course is to pour water into your team's barrel. He gets better as the show goes on, but it's his ultimate weakness in the beginning.

Losing team:
Squashy Grapes lose yet again, having yet more pushing power taken away from them. It's a bit one-sided, but I think the Squishy Cherries lose the next one (Spoilers!!!), so it's fine.

Overall:

This episode was pretty good. It had a pretty significant jump in quality compared to the last, and I think it's honestly one of the best introductions to the entire series. However, it can't stand alone. Episode 1 does most of the context work, but if you get the idea, episode 2 is where to start.

I loved this episode, and it could probably stand on its own if you didn't have to watch episode 1 a/b. I'll give it an S-tier rating, but just barely. It still does some things I consider as not that well, but it also does other things incredibly well! It's a good episode and it serves its purpose.
