"I don't have any great reason..." proceeds to give great reasons. I don't expect anything from you; it's a treat when something shows up.

We're all just trying to make it. Upload when you're inspired, in the meantime I'll just keep quoting Chef Jonathan Lonathan to my spouse, no matter how much I'm asked to stop.

Even if we don't get so many new things from you, your existing body of work is a treasure that rewards repeated perusal. Great to hear from you.

honestly, knowing someone like you also struggles with motivation to post new material means a lot. you’ve made some of the funniest and most quotable videos i’ve ever watched- i almost never post on social media because i get too nervous and burnt out and i definitely don’t have near a consistent body of work to show for it. best of luck to you ❤

Dont worry about us getting new ytp's. You take the time you need for yourself. If youre looking for some extra money for minimal work, uploading compilations of your very long backlog might be a good way to do that. For all of your hard work and dedication to this, i think you deserve some extra money coming in from this. Take care

It’s upsetting to me that the best creator in this niche isn’t able to be fully financially supported by what they do.

The important thing is that you put yourself first. I honestly mean it when i say "fuck us, if we don't pay the bills, we don't really matter". I love the content and do what you can at a pace that you can.

No worries at all! Figured you were just busy with life. Thanks for always making us laugh, Ellie. Take care of yourself!

Ah it's ok; that break probably helped free up your mind, and prevent burnout.

hugs. i rewatch old videos constantly and share them with people who might like the subjects. Make Cake Bake is one of the best for sharing

It’s fine to not force yourself to make things you don’t wanna make. We’re loyal, and your content has been so jam packed with things that rewatching them is always fun

In the event of an airplane crash, you have to put your own mask on before making YTPs for others. Take care!

I watch a lot of modern YTP, and you are by far the most talented and consistent in terms of quality of the whole lot. You make art, and art doesn't follow a schedule. If you make it, I'll watch it, take your time. We don't mind!

Only discovered your content recently, and I absolutely love it. Your style is easily one of my favorites for YTPs. Please take all the time you need

You have my/our support whatever you decide to do next. Your videos are my Roman Empire!

I return to your decade-old videos constantly and laugh just as hard every time. We have a big supply of YTPs to go around and, even if there wasn't, you still deserve to take as long as you need to yourself. Especially in times like these. We love you Miss Things 🩷

The short YTPs are also fantastic. I am glad to see your art in whatever form you can make time for, as long as you are taking care of yourself. We love you Ellie!

DaThings
Heyo! Just wanted to share a quick little update since I've been quiet the last few months.
Not long after The Deep Webb went live I returned to warehouse work full-time to make ends meet. Naturally, The One About Forklifts was my next upload after that break. Since that was a seasonal job I expected to come back with lots of ideas and to go back to putting videos out every couple weeks like normal, but obviously that didn't happen.
I don't really have any great reason for the long pause. Getting myself to work on YTPs has been a struggle for a while and I genuinely can't tell if it's burnout or lack-of-confidence or something else. I did start a big YTP project that I've been working on somewhat consistently but it won't be ready for a long while. Plus I'll be back in the warehouse soon which will give me even less time.
For now, I have a handful of smaller, completely unrelated-to-each-other videos that I can put proverbial bows on and upload just to give y'all *anything* for your patience. I haven't decided whether to compile them into a 10+ minute "Crepes" video like old times, but I'm leaning toward keeping them short and separate so they're easier to find (multi-source YTPs have this problem where people - myself included - will forget which video had what segment in it).
Obviously I don't feel great about having so little to show YTP-wise for the last few months, so the ongoing support from my Ko-fi members has been, no exaggeration, keeping me alive. I know everyone's kinda Going Through It right now financially so it absolutely means the world.
DaThings oldheads will remember a time in 2011 when I was uploading videos every single week. I picked that trend back up for a while during 2020. I think with some effort there's a solid chance I'll find my groove again and get back to making consistent videos one day. YTP is still alive, and so am I.
Thanks <3
