Come on Windows

Oh boy, it's been a while... Nearly 2 months without any videos! College work got me hard... Anyway, what do you want to see next? Post your ideas in the comments!

I have 2 video ideas: Completely skipping Windows 7 installer: 1. After the file copying process, boot to the Windows 7 PE installer ISO again and press shift+f10 for a command prompt 2. Open up regedit, select HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE, and then load the SYSTEM hive from the hard drive (from C:\Windows\System32\config) and give it a name besides SYSTEM. 3. Go to the installed OS' SYSTEM registry key (not the original one, the name you're given to the other SYSTEM, like "sys"), then setup. 4. Change "InProgress" and "Setup" values to 0 and remove the data from the "cmdline" value 5. Go to the hard drive's system32 (like C:\windows\system32), then type xcopy cmd.exe sethc.exe 6. After rebooting to the logon screen, press the shift key 5 times for the command prompt, then create a user and add it to administrator by typing "net user /add name" and then "net localgroup /add administrators name" (note that "name" can be replaced with your desired username). 7. Type your username into the username box (and your password into the password box if you created one), and it should boot you into a working Windows 7 system. Manually Installing Windows 7: 1. First, copy any file that begins with "dism" from a Windows 10 or Windows 11 ISO to your computer, then add and replace it to the Windows 7 ISO using something like PowerISO (I prefer using AnyBurn for this method though) 2. Boot to a Windows 10 or 11 ISO Installer PE 3. Open up diskpart by the command prompt after pressing shift + f10, select disk 0 and then convert mbr to convert the disk to mbr (as gpt/efi for Windows 7 didn't work) 4. Next, create the bootable partition by typing "create primary size=500", then "format fs=ntfs quick", then "assign letter w" 5. Next, create the partition for the operating system by typing "create part primary", then "format fs=ntfs quick", then "assign letter c" 6. Then list volume, then select the volume number with the drive number that has the "w" letter in it, then type "active" to mark the boot volume as active. This is an important part, otherwise Windows won't boot, as it can't recognise the boot partition. 7. Exit diskpart, then change the DVD/CD's ISO to the Windows 7 one, but do NOT reboot yet. 8. Type the letter name of the DVD/CD drive, then "cd sources" 9. Then type in the command "dism /apply-image /imagefile:install.wim /index:1 /applydir:C:\" to expand the Operating system files. 10. After that, type "bcdboot W: /s C:\windows" to copy the boot files to the boot partition. 11. Follow the same steps from "Completely Skipping Windows 7 Installer" from 2 to 7 to finish off the manual installation process and skip the installer.
