Schedule your ideal 10/10 day. I see too many people say they’re just “being realistic” but using that as an excuse to not challenge themselves.
Whenever I set a “realistic” routine that doesn’t challenge me, I don’t even do it cuz it’s not even fun. If I know I can do 2 hours of work, it’s not challenging nor do i think i will get much gains.
But if I know I can SOMETIMES do 4 hours of work and that’s my limit. When I schedule that for tomorrow I actually wanna wake up early and get to it. Imagine if tomorrow you scheduled your PEAK day. Not just the most productivity and work done but also the most fun. You’d actually wanna get out of bed and get to it.
So schedule WORK, PLAY and REST.
My ideal day is wake up at 7am, work till 12. That’s 4/5 hours of deep work.
Then learning and chilling in the afternoon. Then 3 hour workout at night, 6-9.
That’s a super packed day for me. Even just the 5 hours of work might be too much for some people.
But that’s what makes it fun. That’s what makes me want to get up and do it.
And noticed how I said “plan the perfect day” not “plan the most productive day”
this is because if I just wanted to be as productive as possible and get as much work done as possible, my entire day would literally just be “Wake up. Work. Eat. Work. Eat. Work. Eat. Sleep.”
That is not very sustainable, nor very fun and so plan the perfect day the one that you actually wanna keep on living every single day with the work and the fund that you wanna have, and obviously you still have to include obligations like school.
So your actions that is to plan your perfect 10 out of 10 day where you know you’re actually challenging yourself and you’re pushing yourself to your maximum.
Maybe usually you can only work two hours, but you know on your best days you can work four or five whenever you get into the zone.
Don’t write 2 just write four or five.
And then along with this you also have to reset your expectations and don’t expect to hit your perfect day every single day. Sometimes you will fall short. Usually it will stop after three hours of work and not hit the total five.
But understand that that is okay, because even if you hit 60% of your perfect day, that is still better than most of the days that you’ve had in your life.
Write it out below. What’s your 10/10 ideal perfect day (challenging work, fun, and rest included.)
