Explanation: Brian Wilson's first wife Marilyn is my mom's second cousin so his daughters are my third cousins (in a culture where you're likely to know your third cousins at least a little bit). My bubby hosted them for dinner once and my mom, then ten years old, brought a friend from school as a witness to confirm that this really happened. Bubby also once visited their house when the floor was covered in sand because he was writing "Good Vibrations" and that was somehow part of the process (Abby from Vinyl Mondays has gone into that). Just thought somebody should hear all this because all these memories will be lost like tears in the rain and whatnot.

I remember first hearing Good Vibrations in the late 70s as a teenager. It made an impact. Love and Mercy is also worth watching. I associate all of this with a vision of America that, if we are to recover, will only happen if we work incredibly hard and are incredibly lucky.
