A Steve translation would be really cool. I have no idea what work, but I think that’s a really fun idea.

A book of essays would be cool because it gives us varied topics to discuss every day. On the other hand? Short stories could be so cool because people could jump in and out and not have to 'catch up' or commit to a bunch of videos.

I’m halfway through Washington Square and it is so delightful. Short chapters —-maybe too short? Some disarmingly funny commentary as well. Hope the last 100 pages deliver! BookTube needs a James revival, if only for his earlier/mid period fiction. If not WS, maybe Princess Casamassima or Bostonians or The American.

What about Moby Dick? As a non-American, I haven’t yet read it, and it feels like the kind of book that would benefit from running Steve commentary

Steve, you're a natural storyteller, this would be a perfect way to release Troy War. Should you decide against it, New Grub Street would follow neatly after Mr Scarborough's Family. And your commentary on Shakespeare's English plays from King John onward would make for a great playlist, I've wanted for years for you to go in-depth on those passages of Henry VIII you love. That said, there have been many good suggestions, one or two must tug at your heart more than the rest at this time so pick those, they'll make the best treat for us.

I think Anna Karenina would be tons of fun. Your favorite Rosemary Edmunds is not outside copyright, but Garnett and Maude are.

“Kristin Lavransdatter”…or (please, pretty please) Ovid …in your translation. Now this would be fun.

Well, what about some Washington Irving? You could take us through The Sketch Book!

Billy Budd. Lots of stopping points (You could choose where to stop for each video). Also, so, so good.

We're at the half-way point in our read-aloud of "Mr Scarborough's Family" - so it's time to start thinking about what we're reading next! Parameters: 1) It must have chapters/sections short enough to be read in single sittings 2) It must be outside of copyright 3) If it's translated, its translation must be outside of copyright (or my own translation!) ... and 4) it should be interesting! Any suggestions?
