The U.S. Army

Nothing is more associated with the U.S. Army than tanks. From their creation to today, the tank has dominated the battlefield.

Is the tank THE premiere weapon system of America's Army? Let us know your thoughts.

@JAF0877

Classic misunderstanding by Big Army. Perhaps we should realize the individual soldier is the premier weapon system and treat them as such. Maybe that’ll fix the recruitment problem.

@georgesykes394

The infantryman in the Untied States Army is the most lethal weapon system. And we have bore the brunt of the ground combat traditionally!

@MarineKnights

Truly depends, I mean on one hand we have Vietnam where tanks are practically pointless and on the other we have desert storm where it is the backbone of the assaulting force so just depend on the topography and geological location.

Tanks are rolling coffins in modern times. Respect to anyone willing to be a turtle in the times of falcons and cheap 20 drones

I was in the Australian army and if you want the full experience you go into the infantry

The 11B and the 0311 are the focus of the military. Everyone else is support.

All battlefield weapons are useless without the soldier. The American warrior is the premier battlefield weapon.

@lomis99

There is no single premier weapon system. All arms of service, infantry, armor, artillery, air defense, engineers, signals, logistics, etc. are important. Combined arms tactics are the premier "weapon system".

I'm an ex 19d cavalry scout and we do not drive Abrams or consider ourselves tankers. I'm lucky to have been in a infantry brigade combat team. 19k are not cavalry scouts. Us army should know that

Yes, and they're extremely comfortable. Plush Corinthian leather with velvet inlays. Reclinable seats. Dvd players and big screen tvs. See your local recruiter. We also take college transfer credits. Remember, what we can't blow up... we crush into the ground.

I had a DS that called us the gods of war. We were taught to VERY RARELY dismount and fight as Infantry. We could just elevate our guns up and become improvised Arty. We could clear a path in minefields like the Engineers. The list goes on. BEST **** JOB I EVER HAD!!!
