I showed my nearly 7 year old son a video yesterday of a handler removing a baby eastern brown snake (highly venomous) from behind someone's toaster on their kitchen bench over on the East coast of Australia (we're on the West Coast) and while I was sitting there going "oh hell no, I love snakes but absolutely NOT..." My son is going "Awww hi little snakey snake, such a cute little danger noodle, can I keep you" 😳😳😳😳😳 I'm glad he watches you Kea

My 4 year old daughter and I watch with delight from Australia. We love learning about snakes and spiders, and it has made her so kind and curious about the world.

“It’s not just about preparing them for the future—it’s about empowering them to shape it.”
I do quite a few school visits each year, and I always enjoy talking with students and introducing them to snakes. Kids have a natural curiosity and fascination with these animals. When we fill their minds with facts and help them better understand snakes—and all wildlife—we can reduce the negative stigma surrounding them. In turn, this helps promote conservation and a healthier planet for us all.
