Ah yeah, Oscar at its finest. First and foremost the Oscars aren't a popularity contest. Secondly Sonic wasn't even going to be nominated regardless if it's eligible or not because the Oscars are historically biased against genre films. Oscars are always a joke when it comes to animation.
