I took my sourdough starter out with me to greet the sunrise. There's no focaccia left, no sun-brewed tea or blueberry pie left either. I spent a lot of time in the garden and had a large yellow candle burning on the patio. It was such a good day.

I watched fireflies dance to a symphony of crickets and frogsong under star-filled skies! It was lovely. β₯

I prepared my sewing room for the arrival of my new, modern sewing machine β€ And decluttered a complete drawer with fabric scraps, which I had held on for way to long. And I put two unwanted machines up for free pick up on a local sellers site. Out with the old, in with the newβ€ How fitting I had the urge to do so in these daysβ€

I sat outside in my back garden and watched the sun go up and down. I made offerings to the Fae and spirits.

Did some scrying the night before. Stood on top of a hill and stretched my arms out to the sun around noon. Did a ritual in the yard, trying not to look too suspicious to the neighbors. Made cookies with cherry filling. Put together the most beautiful Summer Solstice Altar!

I did a solstice ritual alone and set out an offering to the spirits and face of a lot of summer fruits- cherries, strawberries, pineapple, mango, blueberries- at least 2 lbs of fruit. It completely disappeared in 20 minutes!! I think it was a big hit! Lol

I tried to watch the sunset from Stonehenge live but the feed was terrible and I gave up. I watched the sunrise from there the next morning but I watched it on repeat as I didn't trust the feed after the sunset was so bad. I wore bright yellow all day. I put my sunflower plaque on my altar with daisies and a new altar cloth of the sun and moon in yellow and blue. I lit candles also and today I've burnt incense of jasmine and freesia.

Decided I needed a complete reset. Started a book of Shadows. In it, I wrote a letter, announcing I'm changing timelines and I'm expecting better things. Outlined all of the better things that I'm looking forward to. A clean and organized house. Well behaved dogs. Health, find a community that is supportive, etc. And Im making those things happen. Guess what, the dogs have already straightened up.

Spent the afternoon wild cherry picking and then sitting in the garden with a bonfire crafting wands from the sticks we picked up in the woods. And a bonfire of course.

Attended London march with over 350,000 people. Decorated my placard with oak and apple tree leaves with as many seasonal flowers. Photo of the sun rising at Stonehenge: 'Gaza still needs us. We are still here! Bright Blessings and Viva Palestina!' It made people really smile. Lots of photos taken. Some even said 'thank you.' Haven't been able to celebrate anything since the Final Solution started. I can mark occasions. Summer solstice belongs to everyone. The goddess has helped me cope through all of this. She too has given me strength to endure. Bright Blessings, Ginny and thank you too for your delightful humour and sharing your knowledge with us. π³π³π³π³β€βπ©Ήβ€βπ©Ήβ€βπ©Ήβ€βπ©Ήπππππ§π§π§π§

So I did a little solstice celebration, we had cake (which I would show you but it has all gone) fires from candles (which I forced my family to jump over) and I watched the sun rise. (but only because I got up really really early to do so rather than staying up all night which I can't manage nowadays) It feels very calm now as the sun is standing still for three days. Even the birds have stopped shouting so much. It is almost like a re-set. How did everyone else do?
